About This Product

Product Description

Each capsule contains 150 mg of grape seed extract and 225 mg of green tea extract placed in a NP capsule. No fillers or preservatives are used.

The grape seed extract is produced from the seeds of Vitis Vinifera by ethyl alcohol extraction. The principal compound is oligomeric proanthocyanidins constituting 95 % of the extract by ultraviolet analysis.

The green tea extract is produced from the leaves of Camellia Sinensis by ethyl alcohol extraction. It contains total polyphenols of 51.6 % by UV analysis. These polyphenols are all monomeric forms of proanthocyanidins. The major components are Catechins(40.2 %) including Epigallocatechin gallates(15.47 %) by HPLC analysis. A small amount of Caffein at 4.7 % is also present.

The NP capsule consists of over 83 % of Pullulan, less than 2 % each of Carageenan and Potassium Chloride, and 10-13 % of water. Pullulan is an extracellular polysaccharide secreted by the fungus Aureobasidium Pullulans into the culture medium of corn starch syrup.

The organism A. Pullulans is ubiquitous in nature, nontoxic and nonpathogenic. The corn used is confirmed free of genetically modified variety by a PCR analysis. The molecular structure of Pullulan (C8H10O8)n is closely related to amylopectin, dextrin and maltodextrin.

Pullulan was granted a GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) status by FDA in 2002(GRAS Notice No.GRN99).  It has long been used as a volume expander in the food industry, among other things.

Carageenan is a polysaccharide that comes from sea weeds and used here as an elasticizer for the capsule. Potassium Chloride is used as a conditioner for Carageenan.

The NP capsule contains no animal products, preservatives, antiform agents or polishing agents.
